Markus Jäger is Center Communications Manager, Senior Researcher and Assistant to the Scientific Director at the COMET Competence Center for Excellent Technologies Pro²Future in Linz. He is also an Associate at the Institute of Pervasive Computing (IPC) and the Institute for Application-Oriented Knowledge Processing (FAW) at Johannes Kepler University Linz and is active as a lecturer in the academic environment for already two decades. His work focuses on the interface between research, technology and communication, with a strong emphasis on knowledge-based systems, cognitive decision support, industrial ICT, theoretical foundations in computer science and the strategic communication of complex research topics. In his role, he supports the positioning and visibility of Pro²Future’s research results at national and international level.

He holds a Doctorate in Technical Sciences (Computer Science) from JKU Linz. He studied Computer Science with a focus on networks, IT security and software engineering, and additionally completed the program “Legal and Business Aspects for Engineers (MLBT)”, combining technical expertise with legal and economic perspectives. He has been involved in numerous research projects, scientific publications and teaching activities in the field of applied computer science.
