Pro²Future – Cognitive and Sustainable Products and Production Systems of the Future – is an industry-related COMET K1 research Centre in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive / industrial ICT, human-machine-interaction (HMI) and data-driven process optimization with a focus on cognitive and sustainable products and production systems. These are supported by the areas of Perception, Orchestration, and Analytics. Further fields of activity of the Centre cover mechatronic systems, embedded systems, pervasive computing systems, and big data analytics.

We are offering paid summer research internships for Bachelor’s and Master’s students who wish to work on real-world AI.

What you will do
- Work on applied AI research projects with industrial relevance, such as
- Developing, training, and evaluating embodied, multimodal AI approaches, or
- Combining data-driven learning with symbolic and causal reasoning approaches
- Apply modern AI methods to real-world industrial use cases
- Optionally connect your internship to your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis
Who should apply
You are a great fit if you …
- are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, AI, Robotics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Data Science or similar
- have basic programming skills and an interest in modern software and AI technologies
- are excited about research, innovation and new technologies
- are curious, motivated and eager to learn
- speak English or German
