Pro²Future – Cognitive and Sustainable Products and Production Systems of the Future – is an industry-related COMET K1 research Centre in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and cognitive / industrial ICT, human-machine-interaction (HMI) and data-driven process optimization with a focus on cognitive and sustainable products and production systems. These are supported by the areas of Perception, Orchestration, and Analytics. Further fields of activity of the Centre cover mechatronic systems, embedded systems, pervasive computing systems, and big data analytics.

Full-time or Part-time at Pro2Future GmbH location in Graz
Start possible from April 1, 2026 onwards
We are offering paid summer research internships for Bachelor’s and Master’s students who wish to work on real-world AI and embedded systems challenges.
Research Topics
- LLM and VLM for Safety Critical Applications
- Fail-safe & fail-over mechanism for embedded devices
- Embedded AI: Tiny ML
- Dependable networking: BLE and UWB technologies
What you will do
- Exploring and developing support technologies for engineers in the fields of automotive, manufacturing, functional, and occupational safety
- Assisting in the development of an industry applied embedded system with AI deployment
- Exchanging and enhancing knowledge in embedded systems and AI
Who should apply
You are a great fit if you …
- are currently studying for a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, information and computer engineering or similar field.
- have basic programming skills and an interest in modern software and AI technologies
- are excited about research, innovation and new technologies
- are curious, motivated and eager to learn
- speak English or German
