Rigorosum Dr. Maximilian Zacher

On December 14th, Maximilian Zacher successfully defended his dissertation thesis at the Institute of Polymer Processing and Digital Transformation at Johannes Kepler University Linz. The work was supervised by Univ.-Prof DI Dr. Georg Steinbichler. The committee was completed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Volker Schöppner (University of Paderborn) as external examiner, Priv.-Doz. DI Dr. Umut Dogar Cakmak (JKU Linz) and Univ.-Prof. DI Dr.mont. Gerald R. Berger-Weber (JKU Linz).

The title of the thesis is “A network theory based approach modeling barrier screws with grooved plasticizing barrels”. Objective of the work was to consider grooved plasticizing barrels in modeling single-screw-extruders. Hence, deliver a solution to predict process behavior and enhance designing extruder layouts for industrial applications.

Congratulations, Dr. Maximilian Zacher!
